This type of evaluation is often conducted in order to help determine whether a specific condition (e.g., ADHD) may be impacting academic performance.
Psychoeducational Evaluations often are desired in situations where a student continues to experience academic difficulties after other interventions (e.g., parent/teacher meetings, tutoring, behavior modification plans) have been tried.
Psychoeducational Evaluations can also be indicated when major changes in academic performance are observed.
