CALVIN (“CAL”) CARTER, PhD is a highly accomplished materials scientist and dedicated lifelong student of mindbody healing arts – specifically Kundalini yoga and sound healing. He is one of the founders of the successful tech company Cree, Inc., which has become Wolfspeed, and his innovative research has provided the pathways to the development of blue and green light-emitting diodes, energy-efficient white light generation, high-power solid-state microwave amplifiers, and high-quality human-made gemstones. Dr. Carter received his doctorate degree in Materials Science and Engineering at NC State and is a recipient of the presidential 2002 National Medal of Technology.
