ALLISON WADDELL is a highly accomplished drama and movement coach who specializes in mindfulness and somatic teachings. Allison’s masterful work has included being a core company member of the Black Box Dance Theatre  in the performance “Patriot.” This was a moving performance in partnership with the USO that brought professional drama and movement artists together with veterans to form an ensemble performance that was therapeutic for both dancers and veterans, exploring and raising awareness of the complex mental health issues that veterans and their families face. Allison has licensure and certifications in massage therapy, Ishta yoga, Pilates, and modern dance techniques. She has taught courses and workshops for all ages -at the university level to the school aged level.

At NCNbA, Allison’s interests and practice fall at the intersection of drama, movement, mindfulness, and neuroscience. She embodies the drama and movement therapeutic component of our multimodal treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma and stress-related issues.
